Architecture Sites and Art Museums

Fallingwater - Many people consider Fallingwater to be the most architecturally important house in the United States and Frank Lloyd Wright's ultimate masterpiece.

Kentuck Knob - Built in 1955, it was one of Wright's last houses. Owned by Lord Peter Palumbo of Great Britain, the house is in excellent condition and is an absolute must see for anyone who is visiting Fallingwater and is interested in these architectural marvels designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Laurel Arts Center in Somerset - Performances, music, art shows, art classes, etc.

Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The museum concentrates on Pennsylvanian art, with an outstanding collection of works by nationally recognized American artists (over 500 oil paintings and watercolors), and an important collection of Southwestern Pennsylvania artists.

The Frick Art Museum - The Frick Art and Historical Center is fascinating complex of museums and historical buildings located on over five acres of lawns and gardens in Pittsburgh's residential East End. The Center is devoted to the interpretation of the life and times of industrialist and art collector, Henry Clay Frick. Exhibitions of fine and decorative art are also presented at the Center.

The Andy Warhol Museum – Located in downtown Pittsburgh, this is the largest art museum in the world devoted to one artist, the King of Pop Art.

Carnegie Museums – The Carnegie museums, located near downtown Pittsburgh, feature a variety of options from the Museum of Natural History to the Art Museum to the Science Center.

Mountain Playhouse - 393 seat theater in Jennerstown features comedies, musicals, drama, and classical works of theater.
